Airboards are safe: Airboards are made exclusively from tough “soft” materials to minimise the risk of injury in the event of falls or collisions. On impact, the airboard acts like an airbag. The same applies on rough terrain – the flexible air cushion design compensates for ground irregularities.

Airboards are spectacular: High-speed trips down hard slopes and in deep snow provide a spectacular show for airboarders and spectators alike. The air cushion affords ideal protection even for jumps.

Airboards were developed by Joe Steiner from Zug, Switzerland. It took him ten years of meticulous work to bring the airboard up to his stringent requirements as far as comfort and security were concerned. Not to mention convenience: airboards fold up into a small, light rucksack for carrying on your back so you can take your airboard with you wherever you go!

Giving riders the extra floatation and stability they need for those high powder days, the Freeride offers a larger chassis than the Airboard Classic. . The nose of the board is raised to clear through the snow with greater ease and protection for the rider while enlarged profile runners and higher side placement improves control in deep powder. This enables the rider to carve wide, sweeping turns in soft, deep snow with greater stability.
